Every autumn, Montpellier reinvents itself in a new light, or rather, under a thousand lights.
From 13 to 15 November 2025, the Mediterranean city will come alive with the Cœur de ville en Lumière event, an artistic and poetic gathering that transforms historic façades into living canvases. For three evenings, the monuments of the historic centre will be adorned with colourful lights, monumental projections and visual creations designed especially for the occasion.
The Place de la Comédie, the Arc de Triomphe, the Prefecture, the Court of Appeal and the Place de la Canourgue thus become the luminous stages of an open-air journey. Between tradition and innovation, Montpellier celebrates its beauty, architecture and creativity in a ballet of reflections and emotions.
An exceptional setting at the heart of the show
Overlooking Place de la Canourgue, the Hôtel Richer de Belleval stands as a privileged witness to this luminous effervescence. This subtly restored 17th-century historic monument is one of the most emblematic sites in the city centre.
